Homes for our Troops - Steven Holloway
The Gold Coast Builders Association has embarked on a very important humanitarian project—assisting in the construction of a home in Wellington, Florida for wounded disabled Iraq veteran, SFC Steven Holloway.
HomesforOurTroops.Org is building the home and Royal Concrete Concepts is the General Contractor. Homes for our Troops builds homes for severely injured Veterans at no cost to the veterans they serve.
Army SFC Steven Holloway was a patrol leader on a mission to train Iraqi Police when his team was rerouted to assist at the scene of a deadly IED (Improvised Explosive Device) attack in Mosul, Iraq. After radioing for a Medivac, SFC Holloway went to the aid of a severely injured soldier and was immediately hit by a sniper's bullet.
The Medivac he had called transported the injured soldier and SFC Holloway as well. Steven underwent several surgeries before being stabilized and transported to Walter Reed and eventually, Tampa VA Hospital.
He is a paraplegic as a result of his injuries. A complete story of SFC Holloway can be found at:

GCBA members have been participating in this project, by generously contributing materials, labor or cash. It is the Association’s membership show of appreciation to those young men and women who so gallantly serve our country. These people make huge sacrifices, and too often the supreme sacrifice, so that we can enjoy the freedoms afforded to we the citizens of the United States. This is our opportunity to pay it forward!
