Recruiting new members to Gold Coast Builders Association is activity recognized and rewarded through the NAHB Spike Club Program. Those who participate are called Spikes and they are among the most valued members of the association.

Member-to-member recruitment and retention efforts are highly valued because of the grassroots growth and stability they bring to the association. These efforts lend to the development of the general membership and our leadership pipeline, keeping the face of our association true to that of our industry and the wide scope of interests we represent.

Spikes are the membership leaders of our federation, building the voice, power, and influence on every level, in every state.

Important Spike information:

• Recruit 6 new members within a 2-year period to become a Spike
• Retain Spike status by recruiting 2 members each year until you reach 25 and become a Life Spike
• Tacks must obtain 6 credits in 2 years to qualify as spike

May is Double Spike Month!!

4 Spike Credits. Recruit two new Builder of Associate members or four new Council or Affiliate members, or any combination thereof, and receive a folding polymer resin step-stool to store and carry - skid resistant with a carrying handle and a weight limit of 300 lbs.

Special Council Prize. Recruit 4 or more new members to a local Council affiliated with NAHB and receive a desktop speaker that transforms your iPod, MP3, CD players and other audio players into a mini stereo. The special docking design includes retractable stereo input plug (compatible with iPods), attached auxiliary input cable for MP3 players and 4 AAA batteries.
